At the sixth time of asking bolton got a chance to play this cup tie against blackpool. With no olive fay and katy fay both in new york juile m want in goal full of flu and looking like death warmed up. From the kick off bolton looked the better team and with only playing one league in just short of two mouths it was going to be hard work. Bolton pressed for a goal but with blackpools captain a rock in the back bolton wherer finding hard to break down blackpool-s defence. But from a corner nat turner headed over the bar from close range she just could not keep it down and from the goal kick blackpool get a free kick just on the half way line and from the kick there number 9 come round the back to beat the off side trap and smash it into the goal 1.0 to blackpool. Bolton knew they where in for a game and with half time arriving fast bolton pressed on but with no end product half time 1.0 to blackpool.
Second half and bolton came out with all guns blazeing and started to pass the ball around and a pass down the lift wing which lauren run onto and turned her defeneder inside and out and then with a fine cross to the back post which was only half cleared by the defence nic prescott run onto square pass across the box saw nat turner run onto and side foot into the back of the net 1.1 Bolton where on top and blackpool where losing there heads and just to make matter worse a lovley through ball from jo power down the middle was taken by lauren and into the box where the keeper took her out the ref had no choice but to show a red card to the keeper but the ref said it was on the edge of the box not in it. With blackpool down to 10 they pick up there game and pushed to win the game but a break away from bolton 4 on 2 leah hart sent down the wing and carried on her run to recive to ball in the box to lob it over the keeper to make it 2.1 to bolton. Both teams had chance to get more goals but the ref blew his whistle to booked bolton place in the semi-finals well done ladies.
